Protests erupted all over the country in 2014 and 2016 due to the unjust police killings of Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, Sandra Bland, Alton Sterling, Philando Castile and too many more. The tragic circumstances and acquittals thus far of police officers responsible for these deaths are widely felt to be due to racism in the police force and the judicial system. The outpour of anger, sadness, and frustration is felt nationwide as people all over the country demand that black lives matter, justice be served, and that there be real change in how black people are treated by law enforcement and overall.
